Prompted by the interest of an incentive client, CITA founder Scott Andrews first traveled to Cuba several years ago to determine its viability for incentive travel. The appeal was immediately evident. This introduction to Havana spurred a desire to provide U.S. planners with a clear path to high-quality, turnkey incentive travel to Cuba. CITA worked for several years with Cuban state-owned agencies to develop their incentive travel department and qualify Cuban land program offerings prior to its 2015 introduction to the meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions (MICE) industry.
